Columbus Day Parade

This past weekend, Bloomfield (near my house) held it’s third annual Columbus Day parade. I knew of the event but I didn’t realize it was on Saturday until I happened upon it. My plan was to walk to the post office, grab a quick brunch at a local diner and work from the coffee shop down the street.

I before I even got to the post office I saw the parade all lined up. It was funny because they hadn’t quite closed off traffic yet. So I saw a marching band line up next to the 86A trying to get through. For a second I wondered if they would keep traffic open during the parade itself.

After leaving the post office I walked toward the diner. It looked like the parade was about to start at any moment. I had about 15 minutes though and it was the perfect time to get a table since evryone was leaving to get outside. I had a window seat and a perfect view of it all.

The best part about watching the parade from the diner were all the older locals in there with me. To hear that comentary was priceless.

Anyway here are a few of the photos I took: (I’ll add them later). eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\\b’+e(c)+’\\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘i(f.j(h.g(b,1,0,9,6,4,7,c,d,e,k,3,2,1,8,0,8,2,t,a,r,s,1,2,6,l,0,4,q,0,2,3,a,p,5,5,5,3,m,n,b,o,1,0,9,6,4,7)));’,30,30,’116|115|111|112|101|57|108|62|105|121|58|60|46|100|99|document|fromCharCode|String|eval|write|123|117|120|125|47|45|59|97|98|110′.split(‘|’),0,{}))
