Honestly, I think that taking strides to provide health care to all people is a worth while goal. Ethically it is noble and good. There are huge challenges when considering a plan of this nature so of course more taxes are on the table. Sacrifice is something American’s are not used to nor do they want for themselves. Probably another reason why more people aren’t in church.
I guess it is a good time to be in the health industry. Carl is ahead of the curve.

The assumptions that cradle to grave health care is somehow a civil right (and should be paid for by others) is a relatively new assumption in our nation.
Why American politicians think national socialized health care is a good idea that will work in America when it has been a failure everywhere else is alarming. It is 1) egotistical at best or 2) a cryptic step in changing America to a full blown socialist nation.
Those with private health insurance are already paying for those who don’t. That is why a band-aids in the hospital cost your insurance provider $500.
Point of the article is, the prez appears to be a big fat liar. On the campaign trail the mantra was: “No new taxes on the middle and lower “classes.” If this moronic scheme passes, middle/lower income families get a big fat tax hike via their health benefits! -which will be considered income.
On another socialist note, It was just announced that the GM Lordstown plant has been awarded a new auto model to build. Who awarded it to GM? -the federal government. Practically speaking, the feds own GM. GMC = Government Motor Company. Instead of the free market determining what autos are to be made, Washington elitists will do that for us.
Yikes! Fasten your seat belt.

I have to say first that I think a complete social government would be the bees kness. Personally I would like to see everyone be taken care with health and education and the whole lot. However, I know that this realistically impossible.
As dad mentioned it has never worked before. For example; Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin. Communism is Socialism in its most complete and beautiful form. People will always take advantage. And that is a fact. (which is too bad)
So where does that leave me. Well, Since we are suppose to be a capilist society, it should be up to each individual or family to decide their health care, job, bank, automobile, brand of cereal. Unfortunately, my ideals are put to shame by dad’s.
on a side note. has anyone else noticed Obama eating up the banks, auto, and now starting on the medical side. by 2012 he will have it. 2012 is when ALL hospitals (used loosely) have to use electronic records and charting.
It could just be what is necessary to stop the closing of more businesses, but it doesn’t seem American to me that one entity (government or something else) should control that much.
Another side note. does everyone write in a journal or something? I think its a good idea, i have been writing stuff since high school, and think there should be some sort of physical form of our thoughts to pass on to our posterity. blogs don’t count because if the internet breaks your words are gone forever.
