Regional Top 8
Last weekend I played in a magic event with around 230 other people. I finished in the Top 8 and had my deck list published here.

I won booster box of cards (something I don’t really need) worth about $80. If I placed in the top 4 I would have earned an invitation to the nationals. So close.

Here’s my favorite quote from the interview:
“I was playing against Naya with Bloodbraid Elf. Game two and I’m taking beats from a turn three Woolly Thoctar. I get Spectral Procession and I have two Windbrisk Heights in play each hiding a Wilt-Leaf Liege. I think I also have a Goldmeadow Harrier in play.
Turn five I attack with Spectral Procession tokens. He can’t block the fliers and I activate both Hideaway lands for 9 damage. The game is over next turn. What is really awesome about this play is the fact it happened again next round. The look on the opponent’s face was priceless.”
The look on my face was priceless. I understood about 3.5 words in that whole quote. I think I saw a Spectral Procession once. It was at the Vatican, though.
