Fortunately for me I took this afternoon off in advance so I’ll get to see the Brazil game. We taped the USA game at my place and watched it last night. I couldn’t believe it!!
I had a meeting before the game and one of my friends who is into soccer told me the game would be interesting. He said it in a way that let me to think that the USA looses in spectacular fashion. So when we were up by two goals going into stoppage time I was waiting for us to fall apart. And then when that crappy red card was issued I thought for sure this is it. And then the whistle blew and I was like. No way, we just won!

That red card was ridiculous. But its impossible to know if the ref gave Bradley some verbal warnings before he showed him red. Being the USA, we have to expect some prejudice from all things European.
Spain was a better team -technically and tactically. Our poorer footskills and team shape were obvious. What won the match for us was exactly what Alexi Lalas said: “Heart.” Secondly, our backs were outstanding, as was keeper Tim Howard. To advance in tournaments its necessary for the keeper and backs to have several miracle plays.
Looking forward to Brazil vs. S.A. I look for Brazil’s individual and team skills to knock off S.A.
