Would you believe we had no cake?! On Nicks birthday we went out on the town since my parents are visiting and could stay with the kids. I suppose it was the parent version of that since we caught up on shopping (and the kids seem quite grateful to have clothes that finally fit) and Nick bought supplies to build shelves for our garage and paint the bedroom (both jobs done, looks awesome!). Rounded out the evening with a doctors appointment for Nick (I know, we sure know how to have a good time!) and dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
