Getting Laid Off
Today I was informed that The Art Institutes are eliminating all Public Relations departments across the system. This means that my Job at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh will be eliminated February 1, 2011.
Right now I’m doing OK and have started to look for a new job. The good think is that I’ll get a going away package from AiP and unemployment if I don’t find other work. The bad thing is that I won’t have health insurance, etc. Still in the first stage of this so I’ll keep you informed.

Tough break Norm. I was thinking, you were interested in other employment options in past years, this could be a great new start for you! If you have trouble finding a new job, you are always welcome to hang out with Tommy and I. I have a great couch to sleep on and Tommy has an extra bedroom. Little snow down here in February!

Yeah I am kicking him out if he doesn’t have a job by then. So that could work out

So does that mean you are assuming my end of the rent. I’ve been looking for a way out…

hmmm… now that i think about it, i am not so concerned about your end of the rent, but more about getting your furniture out of the house. i think you can stay i’d rather not move it again.
