    WordPress Update

Hi All, Today wordpress released version 3.1. I know I’m the only one who really knows what that means but this update is special because it adds a menu bar to the top of the page when you are logged in. So now you can easily go to the add new post page.

I encourage everyone to compose posts through the menu at the top rather than the quick form because you get more control and things work better that way.

And, Aunt Mary, welcome to the blog.

    Saying Hello

It’s been awhile since Norman added me to the group but first chance I’ve had to say hi to all of you – one of the negatives of working for a CPA firm during tax season!!  I’ve enjoyed reading all your posts.  Look forward to hearing from everyone!

    Carl no phone home

In case anyone has tried to call me I haven’t had a phone since Saturday. It got real sassy with me and stopped working. So I am waiting for a new one. They had to ship me one, and it was suppose to arrive yesterday, but the verizon guy must have put the wrong address in. I am waiting til 9am to call and give them a piece of my mind.

    Wedding planning trip

I went to SC this past weekend to help Lucille and Tommy jump start the wedding planning process. We were wildly successful and got most of the major planning done. The boys should be hearing from Tommy soon about wedding attire.Lucille and the girls are all set and just need to get sized.I plan to make the flower girl dresses, so Joy I will be in touch. The mother of the bride dress is picked out-just waiting on availability.Food, cake, flowers and photog are either deposited or penciled in. So in case you doubted – we are having a wedding!!!

Shirts untucked and no belts is [I hope] the appropriate attire.

    • joy 12:02 pm on February 23, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Thats a lot of work for one weekend! Who all is in the wedding? And which dresses (Lucilles and bridesmaids) did she decide on? Any pictures of things like the cake, flowers, your dress, etc?

    • carl 3:37 pm on February 23, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Norm I fully agree on the shirts untucked, but can belts be optional. They are stylish and practical at the same time.

How many flower girls will there be? I remember Lucille just crying the whole time she was a flower girl so I expected her to cut that out of this wedding. She must want to have other young girls go through the same torture.

I have seen some amazing beach weddings where the guys wore khakis and white UNTUCKED shirts…and bare feet. That was always my dream…maybe for our 75 anniversary we could afford it. Ha.
Sounds like there will be three little flower girls? Its a tough gig, but we always appreciate it when we grow up..or remember crying while wearing itchy dresses…either way, there are cute pictures!

If the wedding is on a beach, maybe Diver Dan will show up?

my turn. I am almost done with winter quarter. I have about a week and a half left. Career wise, I went to a career fair in Columbus last weekend. Talked to a lot of great people and we shall see what comes of it. Next week I am going to another career fair in Cleveland. I am in the process of branding myself and I believe I am putting a positive image out there. Soccer wise, I have been busy setting up spring games for our team. We will most likely play those in April. I am an assistant coach for a u12 boys club team. That is pretty exciting. Other than that, I am keeping busy and focusing on my grades.

    Word,
    Christian

Job Fairs!?! I loved them. I love interviewing in general. Maybe it’s coming up with an answer instantly and not sounding like a dufus. Any case, good luck and don’t let those u12′s get to you. I know how that age can be. ;)

      How are you branding yourself?

Well the last, but certainly not the least child, has been going through a lot of changes. Moved upstairs to Chris’ old room. I finally have all my stuff up there and it is messy already. Having Sam here is different, but not in a bad way I guess. He makes me get up on time and always makes sure my lunch is packed. Basketball could be better, but hey only 3 more games left. After that I’ll get casted and I won’t be able to do anything, so I enjoy my mobility. :) Well, I think that’s all I have that’s new right now.

oh, p.s. anyone have a good ideas for senior’s gifts for basketball? I was thinking about making them pillowcases with their names on them. Anything else?

Getting casted? Loosing mobility? Are getting a full body cast? Chris was talking about body slamming you for fun during Christmas but I didn’t think he was serious.

Actually, Hannah, you should move to Pittsburgh with me for a few months. Let me teach you all I know about social media and you can skip college. Seriously getting a lot of job opportunities for social media expertise.

Yeah you could be on my bowling team.

Norm, I have to my feet casted for my plantarfasciitis. At least one month for each foot. But only one at a time. Both would just be crazy. Haha. And we’ll just have to see what mom and dad think about me skipping college, my guess is they won’t go for it but I have my fingers crossed.

Carl, I’m in for the bowling team. Sign me up.
