    Got Any Photos

Ever since I upgraded to the new theme I’ve been meaning to add the photo header back. Unfortunately those files are on my home computer and I don’t use it very often. So I always forget. Anyway it is probably time for something new anyway. So who has a photo they want to use?

    Something embarrassing maybe, like this.

Hopefully you two didn’t drool over ma and pa’s new car.

Every time I practice my sermon in the car, people fall asleep. Force of habit I guess!

We’ll be headed out to IA again in the Montana -April 8. Looking forward to playing with Cade and Ava.

Nick and I have a date with a couple of IA turkeys. Maybe I’ll track down the mountain lion that is terrorizing the countryside there. On second thought, maybe I’ll take a nap instead!

    Runners line up here!

Got the info for the 5k/10k race at Kelly’s yesterday. It is on June 12, the day after we arrive.
If you are running/walking let me know and I will send in your registration. I also need your shirt size.
We should have the goal of a placer this year! We were so close once before!

I didn’t see where the hecklers are supposed to go.

      • dale 5:05 pm on March 11, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Norm, the hecklers will be hard at work fishing in order to prove food for the table. Someone has to provide for those running slackers!

Joy, I’ll whip up a bunch of my special mayfly repellent when I’m down in my laboratory next month.

    • joy 2:53 pm on March 11, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I tried to be a photographer last year (while the kids were napping) but I was attacked by the mayflies so most of my pictures were taking from inside the porch.

    • Lucille 9:27 am on March 12, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Tommy and I already have looked at the date. We are wanting to run. We just need to get our info in. We are running in the 10K in Charleston at the beginning of April, so I hope we keep with our training by June. I think we will do the 5k at Kelley’s. Anyone joining us?

Running is fun and all, but when are the boxing gloves coming out?

    • chris 3:45 pm on March 14, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Carl, I will destroy you. boxing or running or anything for that matter.

Sounds like a serious fishing derby might be in order here. Winner doesn’t have to clean fish for one whole day!

We got a cat from the shelter this past Monday and even though he was a social butterfly in the shelter, he hides under our couch until the kids go to bed at night. He’s friendly when he does come out, but yesterday he disappeared all day and nick searched for hours without finding him. As soon as the kids were quiet in bed, he magically reappeared. We may never know his secret spot.
Someone from church is setting up a camera near our house to try to see the mountain lion that visited us.
Last night we got a babysitter for the kids (a first!) and went to Nick’s Dartball Banquet.
We are getting to know people better and feeling more and more at home.
I can’t wait for green grass!

      • dale 5:14 pm on March 11, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Was Nick practicing his dartball throwing at the new cat?

When the cat’s missing, lift up the couch as it may be hiding up in the springs. What’s the cat’s name?

Remember, Carl is allergic cat hair. When Carl comes for a visit, don’t forget to move the litter box into his bedroom! lol

Talked to an acquaintance from western IA. He said that lions are really expanding their numbers in IA. Mom’s got a great recipe for mountain lion stew!

        • joy 3:28 pm on March 12, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Sheesh! So many people are allergic to cats! We looked under beds and couches but never found him. His name is Fritz and he is orange.
Dart ball is throwing darts at a baseball dartboard. You keep score like baseball and different areas of the board are marked for a single, double, out, etc.

Nice name. I dig it. I think I may have outgrown my allergy to cats, however the litter box can still stay in my room. it’s much faster than walking all the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night…

Dartball…I’m not sure what that is. But Tommy and I are meeting today with a guy at the modular place to see about us building/buying a house. We had some serious talks about what we will do for having a house for us to live in this year and was pleased with our decision to build on his/our land…..well this was until we saw that our last house we put a offer on, dropped to our almost exactly what we offered for it. With another discussion last night, we may place another bid on it again, but lower. Humm….I’m blessed we have choices but I want to finalize this house search. :)

    Sam Rodgers

    YEAR: Junior
    WEIGHT: Heavyweight
    RECORD: 20-8
TOURNAMENT TESTED: Champion at Elyria Catholic John McNulty Invitational; runner-up at Black River J.B. Firestone Invitational; runner-up at Chippewa Invitational; runner-up at Patriot Athletic Conference; runner-up at Brooklyn sectional and fourth at Garfield Heights district.
COACH’S TAKE ON POSTSEASON: “He’s going down there to win it, that’s our goal. We set our goals high and then we go for it. It’s going to be tough but he’s got a good draw. His matches are always close. He’s been in overtime several times over the past few weeks. Heavyweight is unpredictable and anything can happen.” — Sedlick
    STATE EXPERIENCE: First year
STATE OUTLOOK: Rodgers will be the underdog in his opener against Clarksville Clinton-Massie senior Mike Stenger (33-5) — the Kettering Fairmont district champion who placed sixth at heavyweight in 2010. An upset would set up a probable quarterfinal matchup with Huron junior Nino Majoy — the Bucksman projected state runner-up. The good news for Rodgers is that two-time state placer and projected champion Mimmo Lytle of Swanton is on the other half of the bracket.

    ^^
this was in the chronicle today about Sam. it had a picture with it, but it was just a head shot and it looked kinda scary so I spared you. haha ;)

Sorry I haven’t responded to the posts about the wedding planning. I just don’t know how time slips away during the week. I’m looking forward to retirement. In any case, Tommy will be making calls this week about suits and I will be making a stop into David’s Bridal about the dresses. Joy, I’ll call you soon. :) Any other questions?

Just one question, If my friend TIna left her house at 9:00 am to ride her bike down a very long road at a speed of 12 mph. At 10:30 am, her sister, Vanessa, left the house on her bicycle and tried to catch up to Tina. Vanessa rode at a speed of 20 mph. At what time will Vanessa catch up to Tina?
