OK,OK… There’s two critters. Do I have to put a red circle around them for Norm and Mom?
nick.huelsman 9:03 pm on March 26, 2009 Permalink
Canis lupus arctos
Norm 3:41 pm on March 27, 2009 Permalink
Tree.
Mom 8:06 am on March 28, 2009 Permalink
I think it is rather unfair to only show the back end.
Ears, etc. might be needed for identification.
Dad 9:15 am on March 28, 2009 Permalink
Hint #1: Nick is very close.
chhuelsman 11:33 am on March 28, 2009 Permalink
either Canis latrans or Canis lupus. the reason i can tell is because of the black tip of the tail.
Dad 12:10 pm on March 28, 2009 Permalink
Nope, not C. latrans. It is indeed C. lupus. A pair of Timber Wolves (also called Gray Wolf). The pic was taken by a trail cam in Minnesoooota.
I’m going to give Nick 1/3 credit (because I misled him on the phone) and Chris 1/3 credit because of his uncertain double answer. I’ll give Norm 1/3 credit because there are trees in the pic.

that is so stupid i guessed that right so i deserve full credit.
Dad 7:11 pm on March 28, 2009 Permalink
Nice try Chris. But would your college profs give you full credit if you gave them multiple choice answers on their tests????
I’m thinking about showing you a yellow for dissent.
